Originally from Fez, he studied in Champagne where he obtained the certificate of applied arts from Reims. Bernard Thiebaut offers oil works on linen canvas worked in glaze. His landscapes, his villages play with warm colors and blue-mauve shadows to give birth to paintings that exalt the light and colors of Provence. Bernard Thiebaut's painting does not seek to reproduce but to interpret the poetry of Provençal landscapes.
