Jean Sanglar (1926 – 1996) was a self-taught painter, who immersed himself in the artistic circles of London and New York. Born in Fréjus, he lived in Paris for his professional activity. An artist who exhibited alongside Picasso during a joint exhibition on the occasion of which he explained "I do not claim to be a witness, I do not paint to say something, it is work, not a pass -time". This exhibition is the tribute organized by Francis Gresse, trader in Fréjus for 42 years, an art lover, who owns almost all of the works of the artist who is now deceased.
